About USTContractors.com
USTContractors.com is a directory built for underground storage tank and oil tank work. Tank removal, fuel tank inspection, installation, testing, decommissioning, cathodic protection, site assessment, and remediation.
Most general directories file tank work under plumbing and HVAC. We don't. This site covers tank work and the environmental services that go with it, which means you can search by the specific job you have instead of scrolling past companies that have never touched a tank.
What kinds of companies are listed
Most listings come from state underground storage tank registries: contractor licensing files, certified installer and remover rosters, and similar public records maintained by state environmental agencies. Those companies hold a credential the state issued.
The rest are environmental and remediation firms that work on tank sites. Site assessment, soil and groundwater work, corrective action. Some of them remove tanks and some don't, so a firm listed for remediation may not be the right call for pulling a 275 gallon basement tank.
Filter by the service you actually need, and confirm scope with the contractor before you get to price. A company's own website is the best place to check what they do.
Records are checked against at least two sources before they go live, and the company's own website has to be one of them. A state roster shows who holds a credential. The company's site shows whether they still do the work and what their current phone number is.
We re-check listings on a rolling basis and remove companies whose sites have gone dead. Badges on individual listings show what we were able to verify and when, and a badge on one listing says nothing about the one below it. If you find outdated information anywhere on the site, email info@ustcontractors.com and we'll fix it.
The directory is free. No account, no login, no fees. Search by state, then filter by the service you need. Contact details are on the listings, and upgraded contractors show their website and email as well.
Commercial property owners, gas station operators, industrial facility managers, and homeowners with a buried oil tank.
If you'd rather not sort through listings yourself, request a free quote and we'll forward your details to contractors in your state who handle that type of work. Say so in the request if you're on a deadline and we'll move it up the queue. Verify a contractor's credentials before signing anything.
Your company may already be listed. Claim your listing to add your website, email, service areas, and specialties, and to receive quote requests from property owners and facility managers searching your area.
